A cyber security professional with 20 years’ experience defending organisations, their staff and their customers from cyber threats.
Dean has analysed and assessed the security of multiple organisations, across multiple sectors, including some of the largest financial institutions in the world and gone on to implement security improvement programmes, significantly improving the security of those organisations.
In his spare time Dean likes to travel, enjoys outdoor pursuits and occasionally mentions that he did an ‘Iron Man’.
About this show
Dean admits that he finds it hard to be proud of what he has achieved, he sets himself a challenge but always thinks he could do better. He says his wonderful wife is the one who reminds him and without her support he would never have achieved competing in an Iron Man.
Fear of failure is at the forefront of his mind, sharing his goals and ideas with the people around him are what keeps him motivated.
Dean says that every Monday morning he wants to wake up and look forward to going into work. The beauty of being a contractor means he can do just that. He says that he can choose to do what he wants to do and is very fortunate.
